Beady Eye officially began proceedings at the 2013 Glastonbury festival today (June 28th) after both Alt-J and Django Django had performed ‘secret’ gigs on Thursday night.

Django Django made their bow in the brand new William’s Green Stage tent yesterday, and were followed by Mercury winners Alt-J who told the audience: “Hello Glastonbury! I tell you what, it’s pretty fucking amazing saying that,” ahead of their appearance on the Other Stage later this evening.

Beady Eye opened that particular stage this morning (11am), with frontman Liam Gallagher declaring during a rendition of the Oasis favourite ‘Rock N Roll Star‘: “Tonight, I’m a rock ‘n’ roll star – at 11.30 in the fucking morning,” before leaving the stage with: “I’ve given you a headache; you’ve been amazing – but not as good as us.”

Arctic Monkeys are set to headline the event’s main Pyramid Stage tonight, while Portishead top the bill on the Other Stage.
