The Vaccines invited Temples and The Walkmen to join them at the biggest gig of their career to date in London last night (May 2nd).

The band, whose story began just three years ago in the summer of 2010, headlined London’s O2 Arena when a brand new track entitled ‘Melody Calling‘ was given a debut.

“With anything in life, the more you achieve the more you want to achieve,” frontman Justin Young told NME ahead of the show.

“I guess your ambitions grow with your success. Having said that, we play different sized rooms all over the world. I’m happy we’re here but it wasn’t ever a goal. And it’s not a goal to come back next year and do two or three nights at the venue. It’s not something I think about. We find ourselves in these situations, I get excited by it and I enjoy it, but it certainly wasn’t an ambition.”
