The Rolling Stones have posted a message on their official website that simply reads ‘5 DAYS & COUNTING’ .

They will announce their 50th anniversary world tour promoted by AEG Live on April 3, a week after the rock n roll veterans were confirmed as Glastonbury Festival headliners – they take the stage on Saturday June 29th.

That same day ex Stones bassist Bill Wyman’s band Rhythm Kings was also announced for Glasto.

Mick Jagger tweeted on the weekend, ‘Thanks for all your tweets about Glastonbury. I was thinking about the set list. Any ideas on that?’

Charlie Watts kept busy performing two shows in London last weekend with his jazz band The ABC&D of Boogie Woogie with group members ( in alphabetical order ) Axel Zwingenberger (piano), Ben Waters (piano), Charlie Watts (drums) and Dave Green (bass).

Ronnie Wood was also on stage in London last week helping out Paul McCartney‘s son James launch his new album ‘Me’. Dad Paul sneaked on stage and sat down at the piano to accompany Ronnie and James’ acoustic guitars on the track ‘New York Times‘ which was written by James on a family trip with his dad.
