Thee Oh Sees have announced they will release their latest LP ‘Floating Coffin‘ on April 16th.

“These songs occur in the mindset of a world that’s perpetually war-ridden,” band leader John Dwyer has said of the album’s make-up. “Overall, it’s pretty dark, and much heavier than our other albums.”

Dwyer described new track ‘Toe Cutter – Thumb Buster‘ as, ‘A song about war’, adding: “It’s like people take less notice of those horrors anymore. Dark goings-on are so ever present that they can just wash over you every day.”

“I could have made the second half of this song last for hours,” Dwyer continues with regards to another track set for inclusion on ‘Floating Coffin’, ‘Strawberries 1 + 2‘. “This is another song that’s wary of the outside world, about humans staring down technology.”

Thee Oh Sees have evolved through many guises during the course of the past decade or so, and are swiftly following the 2012 album ‘Putrifiers II‘.
