Noel Gallagher and Kasabian will perform in London next month as part of a music and comedy night organised to raise money for the BBC’s biennial Comic Relief fundraising efforts.

The one-off gig is dubbed Give It Up For Comic Relief, and is due to take place at Wembley Arena on March 6th. Jake Bugg is also on the bill, as are Paloma Faith, Jessie J, Rizzle Kicks and Emeli Sande.

Russell Brand is to act as the host for the evening, with fellow comedians Jimmy Carr, Noel Fielding, Eddie Izzard, Frankie Boyle, Simon Amstell, Doc Brown and Jason Manford set for appearances.

“Comic Relief has funded work tackling substance abuse for many years,” Comic Relief CEO Kevin Cahill has remarked. “We were thrilled when Russell Brand offered to highlight the issue and raise funds to help tackle the problem. It’s a perfect use of his celebrity profile to front the ‘Give It Up for Comic Relief’ gig and work behind the scenes to put it all together. He has played a blinder.”
