With their latest album ‘Opposites‘ sitting pretty at the top of the UK Album Chart this week, Biffy Clyro have been unveiled as the second headliner for the 2013 Reading/Leeds festival.

“Reading always felt like such an exotic festival,” the band have told NME. “Even though it’s been around since the ’70s, it just really seemed to come alive in the ’90s. I think that’s when it became the cultural moment that it is now, and the fixture that it is in the calendar…It’s just fucking bizarre. I still can’t get my head round it.”

Biffy Clyro join the previously announced Eminem at the summit of the main stage, while Foals, Jake Bugg, System Of a Down, Fall Out Boy and Bring Me The Horizon are other new additions to the festival’s line-up.

Arctic Monkeys, Mumford & Sons, Black Sabbath and Blur are some of the big name acts to have been linked with the final headline spot for Reading/Leeds, which takes places this year between August 23rd-25th.
