“‘By The Fireside’ is the forthcoming Christmas single, taken from Ellen and the Escapades‘ very special Ltd Edition Christmas EP. The single will be released as a digital download on 16th December. The track also appears on critically acclaimed folk blog ‘For Folk’s Sake’s’ Christmas charity compilation CD, to raise money for Evelina Children’s Hospital, which also includes tracks from Admiral Fallow, Rachel Sermanni and Tom Williams (and the Boat). Last single “Without You” allowed them to gain some great new supporters at BBC Radio 2 and BBC 6 music in Bob Harris, Janice Long, Chris Hawkins and continued support from the likes of Steve Lamacq.”

The Night was a solo project, focused on incorporating and recording guest musicians. An EP was released in 2008 via iTunes and some sales and fans were recruited. A band finally formed in mid 2011, and the members of the band have brought their own influences and experience, and made the music evolve into what it is today. They recorded their first album independently in December 2011 at Jungle Studios. It is scheduled for release early 2013 under the title ‘i am, and say.’ They currently reside in Sydney, Australia, and are working hard to perfect their live performance, playing frequently throughout the rest of 2012. Strong influences include Brand New, Bright Eyes and Manchester Orchestra.”

“‘Freezing Rain’, the next single from London based indie-pop band The Bloogs evokes The Police, The Pretenders and early 90’s sounds of The La’s, Cast and The Boo Radleys with sparkling guitars and harmonies tied to witty lyrics aimed to resonate with the people. The Bloogs songwriting stems from 60’s guitar pop traditions, they are influenced by the likes of The Kinks, The Who and which means ultimately direct accessible hooky edgy pop-rock.”

The Bixby Knolls are set to release their full-length debut, Near & Undear, on December 11th. On it the L.A.-based foursome offer up 11 tracks that blur the lines between indie rock, psychedelia, post-punk, pop and even soulful R&B. At times spastic, surreal and schizophrenic, this is guitar-driven rock’n’roll delivered with conviction, swagger and, above all, attitude.”

“Having supported Keane, Joan Armatrading and McFly in 2012, The Virgin Soldiers released the debut single ‘Moon Song’. It made it to Number 3 in the Amazon Rock Chart and 19 in the Independent Breakers Singles Chart in the UK. They have since recorded a ‘strock’ cover of Linkin Park’s ‘Numb’.”

“Alternating between melancholic washes of guitar and contemplative synthesizers, the four piece Hatem from Madrid combines influences of hazy psychedelic pop, shoegaze and ambient music for a dazzling sound that’s both ethereal and immersive. The new video for ‘They Won’t Let Me Grow’ captures the innocence of childhood playing out against the soaring lyricism of the track.”
