Velcro Hooks are THE band at the moment, and will be for a long time. There’s have been some of the best live shows we have ever witnessed, and now we are releasing their debut effort Gymnophoria. It is amazing and its going to go quick.”

“Wishlessness presents MMXII, the debut of Carlo Cerati (Italy) and Adam Di Angelo (USA). Cerati makes the music. Di Angelo sings. Their sound is born of futurism, stochastic composition, new romanticism, aleatory music, and Negro spirituals.”

“The hypnotic, stirring track has a dark intensity that gets into your head and makes you want move. It is the perfect lead single from their debut, which is full of hooks, big vocals, anthemic songs and atmospheric synths and strings. ‘Shoulders Of Fortune’ is a great introduction to the band, truly capturing their essence and sound. Always wanting to incorporate their hugely supportive fan base into whatever they do, the video shoot for the single saw fans invited to get involved, showing up with their IPhones to watch an intimate performance of the track and filming segments of the video as a mysterious female pushes her way through to the band. This Ground Moves and are hotly tipped as ones to watch in 2013 and are finishing up 2012 strong with the release of ‘Shoulders of Fortune’ on December 16th, celebrating with a single launch at Hoult’s Yard, Newcastle on December 14th.”

Lone Wolf began life in 2009 in various dusty rooms and tape studios around Sweden where Paul Marshall pulled his songs and ideas slowly together. After a month of various field recordings, sneaking into concert halls late at night to use the piano, setting up gear in small village churches, and other surreptitious places, the basic album tracks were done. The resulting body of work: The Devil And I, Lone Wolf’s (Paul Marshall’s musical moniker) debut, was released on Bella Union in mid-2010 to welcome arms. A new singer-songwriter to behold was born that day.”

“With their layered four-part harmonies, swirling guitars and sweeping melodies, My Grey Horse aren’t easily slotted into conventional music categories. Some have casually drawn comparisons to The Shins, Grandaddy, and “the folk-pop scene of the ’60s”. Hailing from Stratford-Upon-Avon, the five-piece formed in 2009. Brothers Peter, John, and Oobah Butler are joined by Tom Mott and Joe Nicklin to complete the line-up.”

“Neil Higgins and Richard Sen return as Padded Cell with a brand new single, `Guardians of The Night’ due to be released through Different Recordings. It’s been a few years since previous Padded Cell single releases, which have been championed by a wide range of DJs such as Harvey, James Murphy, Erol Alkan and David Mancuso. In the interim period they have produced remixes for LCD Soundsystem and Bryan Ferry, performed live laptop sets in dark corners of the world from Rio de Janeiro to Istanbul, and seen their music infiltrate mainstream entertainment such as Grand Theft Auto and HBO comedy Eastbound And Down. In 2012 Richard Sen put together a compilation of early UK house & acid from `87-91 called `This Aint Chicago’, which was released to great acclaim through Strut. New single `Guardians of The Night` employs vocalist Free Disco alongside a live sax, bass, guitar and percussion skilfully arranged by the hands of Padded Cell.”

Lowell had been working in the studio with Martin Terefe, Grammy award winning producer and member of the Apparatjik collective (Magne F (Aha), Guy Berryman (Coldplay) and Jonas Bjerre (MEW)). Terefe and the young Canadian artist ended up duetting together for Apparatjik’s Everybody Is One Bar project, whereby fans and other artists were encouraged to re-work tracks that would later appear on the bands second album, “Square Peg In A Round Hole”. Apparatjik immediately realised they had found a close musical relative; Lowell came from the snow just like them you see…”

Cuddly Shark encapsulate a purist “plug in and play” ethos with a touch of ice cold rock’n’roll. Idiosyncratic lyricism and odd anti-melodies combine with foot down, pedal-to-the-metal performances. Born and bred in the bonnie Highlands of Scotland, the band consists of Colin Reid on guitar and vocals, Jason Sinclair on drums and Ruth Forsyth on bass guitar and vocals.”

METZ will wrap up their 2012 tour schedule with a show on December 19 in Brooklyn, NY at the Music Hall of Williamsburg with King Tuff. Then in early 2013, the band will kick off a massive European tour, which begins on January 25 in Athens, GR at Six D.O.G.S. Cultural Center and currently ends on March 12 in Brussels, BE at Muziekodroom.”
