Following the high profile benefit concert in New York last night (December 12th) when the likes of Paul McCartney, The Rolling Stones and The Who performed at Madison Square Garden in aid of those affected by the recent Sandy superstorm, LastClick.com has launched its own initiative to raise money for the victims.

A digital auction is being initiated which invites shoppers, deal hunters and altruistic types to bid for a series of special, one-off prizes which include dinner with the Sopranos, a game of baseball in Mets Stadium, a visit to the Miss Universe competition, $500 watches for $100 and plenty more from bids as little as $25.

It is hoped the auction series will raise funds for food, aid and to assist in the rebuilding efforts which have been launched since Superstorm Sandy swept through the US’ east coast last month, and will support organisations such as the Food Bank of New Jersey, Helpers Unite, American Red Cross and Rebuilding Together.

Last night’s benefit concert saw Nirvana bandmates Dave Grohl and Krist Novoselic reunite onstage with Paul McCartney when they performed the brand new track ‘Cut Me Some Slack‘. Watch here
