Biffy Clyro are previewing their new single ‘Black Chandelier‘ on YouTube (below) after the track received its premiere on BBC Radio 1 yesterday evening (November 19th).
The single will be released on January 14th next year, and is set to be backed with the exclusive b-sides ‘The Rain’ and ‘Thundermonster’. Its parent LP ‘Opposites‘ – the double album which follows 2009’s Mercury nominated ‘Only Revolutions‘ – will arrive soon after on January 28th 2013.
‘Opposites’ will feature a vocal contribution from Band Of Horses frontman Ben Bridwell, who recently explained to NME of the collaboration:
“Simon and I got in touch and talked about it here and there. Months later, he hit me up again and said they were ready to go ahead with it. We were in the middle of our promotional cycle so between all the interviews, finding a second of time didn’t seem like an option. But Bill and I set up a little mic in our hotel room and decided to go for it and just scream as loud as possible.”
The record is due to be showcased with a large UK arena tour beginning on March 20th next year at the Newcastle Metro Radio Arena.
