The Rolling Stones have debuted their new single ‘Doom and Gloom‘ on BBC radio this morning (October 11th), which can now be streamed through YouTube below.

The track is the first taste of new material from the veteran band for seven years, and is released to promote their forthcoming greatest hits collection ‘GRRR!‘.

‘Doom and Gloom‘ is one of two new songs recorded during Paris studio sessions with producer Don Was earlier this summer.

With The Rolling Stones celebrating their 50th anniversary this year, reports of gigs in London and New York are now gathering pace after Billboard first hinted at the plans last month. Since then, Keith Richards recently lent weight to the rumours by telling Q that, ‘We’ve got some shows in London, I believe, and in New York, but I really can’t talk about any of that at the moment’.

In addition, yesterday live sax player Bobby Keys told Billboard the shows will take place in next month.
