The Rolling Stones have unveiled plans to release a brand new single tomorrow (October 11th) to promote their forthcoming greatest hits collection ‘GRRR!‘.
‘Doom and Gloom‘ is one of two new tracks recorded by the legendary band during studio sessions in Paris with producer Don Was earlier this summer, and will receive its radio premiere at 8.15am (BST) tomorrow on BBC Radio 2 before being made available to download.
‘GRRR!’ forms part of a number of special events and releases which have been held during the course of 2012 as The Rolling Stones celebrate their 50th anniversary. It is now looking likely these will also include some live dates for the group after guitarist Keith Richards appeared to confirm rumours of gigs in London and New York when speaking to Q.
“We’ve got some shows in London, I believe, and in New York, but I really can’t talk about any of that at the moment,” he said. “They’ve put the gag on me on this. You can hint!”
