The Prodigy, Alt-J take home AIM Independent Music Awards

Alt-J and The Prodigy were amongst the winners at the second annual AIM Independent Music Awards, which were held in London yesterday (October 29th).

The awards, which aim to highlight and celebrate the best of independent music, named The Prodigy as its Best Live Act ahead of the likes of The Cribs and Frank Turner, while Alt-J won the Independent Breakthrough Of The Year, pipping strong competition which included their fellow Mercury nominees Django Django to the gong.

Elsewhere, First Aid Kit won the Best Difficult Second Album thanks to ‘Lion’s Roar‘, while Enter Shikari‘s ‘A Flash Flood Of Colour‘ won the Independent Album Of The Year.
