Mercury nominees The Maccabees & Richard Hawley set for Little Noise sessions

Recent Mercury Music Prize nominees The Maccabees and Richard Hawley are amongst the acts confirmed to appear at this year’s Mencap Little Noise Sessions in London.

Richard Hawley is due up on November 21st when he will be supported by First Aid Kit and King Charles, while The Maccabees plan on performing their Mercury-nominated 2012 album ‘Given To The Wild‘ in its entirety two days later, with James N Commons in support.

November 24th will see Noah & The Whale topping a bill which also includes Villagers, Lucy Rose and Daughter. The line-up for the event’s opening and closing nights – due to be held on November 20th and 25th – have yet to be confirmed.

The 2012 Mencap gigs have been organised by the disability charity’s ambassador Jo Whiley, and will be held at St John-at-Hackney Church. Pre-sale tickets go onsale tomorrow (October 5th) for those who have signed up to Mencap Little Noises’ backstage area. A general sale will follow on October 8th.
