Artists who performed at last summer’s Reading/Leeds festival, including Kasabian and the Foo Fighters, are to auction off select items of their live set-up for charity.

The proceeds from the sale will go towards The Martin House Children’s Hospice, a charity which cares for young people with life-limiting illnesses.

“We salute the people of Martin House, and contributing something to help them raise some funds is of course something we didn’t hesitate about,” Kasabian have said.

“We commend them on all their great work and dedication over the years. Make sure you bid for a bit of Reading and Leeds history.”

Special items which will be available to bid on include a Leeds Festival promo board signed by Kasabian, a signed setlist and vinyl from The Cure, and a signed drum skin courtesy of the Foo Fighters (pic).

“This auction really encapsulates what Centre Stage is all about – fundraising and raising the profile of Martin House to a new audience through music,” Martin House fundraiser Sarah Smith has said.

“It also takes the support Leeds and Reading offer us to another level and we feel very privileged to be increasingly involved with such wonderful people.”
