A fresh Greatest Hits compilation set to be released by The Rolling Stones later this year is to feature two brand new tracks which were completed by the group in Paris late last month.
Entitled ‘GRRR!‘, the compilation will be available from November 12th in the UK and a day later in North America, and will come in five different formats.
These include a triple-CD 50 track edition, a 3CD digipack complimented with a 24-page booklet, and a deluxe box set which is to include a 36-page hardback book and five postcards.
In addition, a massive 80-track super deluxe box set will come packed with four CDs, a bonus CD, a 7″ vinyl, a hardback book, a poster and five postcards in a special presentation box.
But it’s the new songs ‘Gloom and Doom‘ and ‘One Last Shot‘ – which were completed by The Stones on their much-publicised studio sessions in Paris last month – which truly make this release stand-out. The two tracks mark the first studio material from the legendary band since 2005’s ‘Bigger Bang‘ album, and are confirmed after a sustained campaign on the part of Keith Richards to get the band active again as they celebrate their 50th anniversary this year.
