Titus Andronicus have offered up a first taste of their forthcoming third studio album after previewing the new material in a live setting during the past few months.

The lyric video for ‘In a Big City‘ is streaming through YouTube below, and will feature on the LP ‘Local Business‘, which is to be available on XL Recordings from October 22nd. The minimalist artwork, designed by friend of the band Nolen Strals, has also been unveiled (pic).

The record marks the New Jersey band’s first release since bassist Ian Graetzer and guitarist Amy Klein joined a long procession of former members when they departed the band last year.

‘Local Business’ follows 2010’s superb album ‘The Monitor‘, whose epic, ambitious concept built in a grand scale around the American Civil War – a significant shift in scope after 2008 debut ‘The Airing of Grievances‘ – was more than enough to see it feature prominently in Live4ever’s Essential Listening retrospective that year.
