The xx remain on top of UK Record Store Chart

The xx are enjoying a second week at number one on the UK Record Store Chart after holding off the challenge of The Killers and Grizzly Bear.

Grizzly Bear’s superb new LP ‘Shields‘ debuts at #2 on the chart which is compiled entirely from sales registered at the UK’s independent record shops, while The Killers are one further place back with ‘Battle Born‘.

Elsewhere, Alt-J‘s Mercury nominated ‘An Awesome Wave‘ climbs three places from last week, Band Of Horses have a new entry at no.5.
