Respected producer Ethan Johns will step away from the mixing desk early next year when his maiden solo album is due for release.
The man behind successful albums from the likes of Kings Of Leon, The Vaccines and Laura Marling will release ‘If Not Now Then When?‘ in February 2013. The record is set to include a guest appearance from Laura Marling, as well as Ryan Adams.
A vinyl edition of the record will precede the official release in November, arriving while Johns embarks on an expansive tour of independent UK record shops.
“I’m doing this tour primarily because visiting local record stores is still one of my favourite things to do,” Johns has said of the tour. “You just don’t know what you’re going to find, whether it be an elusive album you’ve been searching for, for years, or an amazing new local band the shop assistant is playing when you walk through the door. Nothing beats it!”
