“Occupying a former college of law, situated above a nightclub and African mafia den, Glitches live, write, and record together. They have diverse musical inspirations and idols, ranging from Francisco Tarrega, Maurice Ravel, through to Catullus, via Isaac Mtshali, and Massive Attack. Their music draws on everything from Kafka, to Constable, and The Decline And Fall of the Roman Empire.”

Cold Pumas hail from Brighton, land of windswept piers, and have been abiding by the three Rs since their inception : Repetition, Repetition, Repetition. Yet their début long-player, Persistent Malaise is the result of an internal aeon of transient rebirths. Released on the 5th November as a triumvirate split between Faux Discx, Gringo Records and Italian Beach Babes, the album is both a metronomic cathedral of married noise and a funnel of kraut-tinged catharsis. It arrives preceded by a wave of 7”s that have captured the taught and at times nascent evolution of this trio of fraternal pedants.”

“2011 brought The Wicked Whispers to the public eye after 2 on-line demo’s surfaced sparking intrigue in the band. This led to The Wicked Whispers hitting the road for a long series of ‘hit and run’ shows up and down the UK as well as appearances at UK and European Festivals. The band have also joined fellow Liverpool heroes Echo and The Bunnymen and The Lightning Seeds on their UK tours after being championed by local legends such as Ian McCulloch and Ian Broudie. To capitalise further on their already local popularity, the band organised and performed at two sell out club nights in Liverpool under the name of ‘The Butterfly’s Ball and the Grasshoppers Feast’ bringing legends such as Arthur Brown and Captain Beefheart’s ‘Magic Band’ to join them on stage with other local up and coming talent.”

“Since touring with The Charlatans in 2011 and supporting the likes of The Vaccines, Clock Opera, Islet, and S.C.U.M. The album will be released October 9 via Conveyor in Canada. “With elements of the rustic tones of Okkervil River, the humour of Morrissey and the angst of Bright Eyes, Trapped Mice‘s album should appeal to anybody who loves powerful songs performed with abandon. A debut album steeped in the chilly themes of longing, confusion, and a creeping sense of dread at the slow march of “progress”, all tied up in one big melancholic noose.”
