Coldplay frontman Chris Martin has praised Muse‘s new single ‘Madness‘, declaring it their ‘best song ever’.

‘Madness’ is the second official single to be taken from Muse’s forthcoming sixth studio album ‘The 2nd Law‘ and will be released on August 20th.

It follows first single proper ‘Survival‘, which was adopted by the 2012 London Olympics as its official anthem.

And Martin is apparently one man who has immediately taken to the track, taking to Twitter today (August 22nd) to tell the world:

“Having been their opening act 13 years ago I’m proud to say that I think this is Muse’s best song ever.”

‘The 2nd Law’ will hit the shelves on October 1st after being shifted from its original September issue date. The move slightly eases a hectic month of big-name album releases due for next month, which include the likes of Mumford & Sons, The Killers, The Vaccines, The xx and Bob Dylan.
