The moment Noel Gallagher witnessed Manchester City clinch the Premier League title in dramatic style last month has been captured on film and will feature on a new DVD due out this Christmas, that’s according to today’s Sun newspaper.
Gallagher was in Chile as part of the world tour in support of his debut solo album ‘Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds‘ when Man City came up against Queens Park Rangers on the final day of last season, and has previously admitted he ‘cried like a baby’ when Sergio Aguero’s late winner handed his team the title on goal difference.
And now The Sun newspaper claims the footage of him watching the match in a bar in Chile will be a part of a DVD which is being planned for the festive market.
“I was in a bar in downtown Santiago in Chile,” Noel is quoted as saying. “Fortunately, I had a film crew with me on that leg of the tour and they were filming all of this. So you’ll be able to see all of this.”
“I am dreading watching this footage back because it’s just going to go from every emotion that can come out of a human being. Tears, anger, it’s just unbelievable.
“Unfortunately I did shed a tear. You have to just let it out. I said the same phrase that rhymes with cucking bell about a hundred times at the top of my voice into the television.”
