The Beach Boys have announced details of a sole UK gig to take place later this year.
The legendary band, who were recently reunited with Brian Wilson as they celebrate their 50th anniversary, will perform at the Wembley Arena in London on September 28th as part of a wider European tour. Tickets for the show will go on sale from this Friday (June 1st) at 9am.
As well as being part of the celebrations for their 50 years, the tour will also support the group’s forthcoming 29th studio album ‘That’s Why God Made The Radio‘, which is due for release on June 4th. Produced by Brian Wilson, it is the first album of original material from The Beach Boys since 1992, and is also the first to feature guitarist and backing vocalist David Marks since way back in 1963.
The new single and title track from the album was recently aired live on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon in the US, footage of which can be viewed here.
