Beastie Boys‘ Ad-Rock, aka Adam Horovitz, has paid tribute to his bandmate Adam Yauch, saying he is ‘glad to know that all the love that Yauch has put out into the world is coming right back at him’ following the sad news of his death last Friday, (May 4th).
Since news broke of Yauch succumbing to the cancer he was diagnosed with in 2009, tributes have been pouring in from across the musical world for one of the most influential musicians of recent times and now, when writing on the Beastie Boys’ blog, Horovitz has thanked friends and family for their support, writing:
“as you can imagine, shit is just fkd up right now. but i wanna say thank you to all our friends and family (which are kinda one in the same) for all the love and support. i’m glad to know that all the love that Yauch has put out into the world is coming right back at him. thank you.”
