The bands will perform at the inaugural festival, which is to be held in the town of Portmeirion in northwest Wales, between September 14-16th.
The festival takes its name from the cult 1960s UK television series The Prisoner, which was filmed in Portmeirion and whose main character was known as ‘Number 6’.
The event is being organised by the promoters behind Beach Break Live, Snowbombing and Lounge On The Farm, who are also promising festival-goers art installations and what they described as ‘surreal street theatre’.
The announcement marks a further expansion of New Order’s summer touring after they first reformed sans Peter Hook last year for two European dates in aid their one-time music video producer Michael Shamberg.
They have since been confirmed for appearances at various festivals including T In The Park and Bestival, as well as a series of their own headline dates.
