The Stone Roses and Foo Fighters have been confirmed as headliners for the 2012 Tennent’s Vital festival, which will take place in Northern Ireland this coming August.

Foo Fighters will top the bill on the event’s first night, August 21st, with the reformed Stone Roses following a day later. The festival will be held at the Boucher Road Playing Fields in Belfast.

The Black Keys will perform immediately before the Foo Fighters, while Florence & The Machine have been unveiled as the act to perform immediately before The Stone Roses on August 22nd. More acts will be added to the already impressive bill in the coming weeks.

The Tennent’s Vital festival was first held in Northern Ireland in 2002, when the likes of Snow Patrol, Primal Scream and Fatboy Slim were among the performers. After being put on hold following the 2007 event, the festival returned last year when The Script and Eminem headlined.
