The Smashing Pumpkins have confirmed their long-delayed album ‘Oceania‘ is now pencilled in for release on June 18th.

The album, originally intended to have been issued last September, will again be dealt with by EMI after the company reached a deal with the band’s principal member Billy Corgan to work along side his own label Martha’s Music.

“We are thrilled to extend the long-term partnership between The Smashing Pumpkins and EMI with the release of ‘Oceania’,” EMI Label Services’ Mike Harris has said. “Everybody at EMI is looking forward to working closely with Billy and the band to help them deliver their vision and their music to fans around the world.”

Last year, Billy Corgan admitted the future of the Smashing Pumpkins is likely to hinge on the fortunes of ‘Oceania’, telling Billboard: “I think if ‘Oceania’ basically hits the same wall a lot of the other stuff has hit, we’re going to have to step back and really evaluate where we’re going, because it’s a tremendous amount of energy to put out to just feel like you’re throwing a pebble in the ocean.”

‘Oceania’ tracklist:

‘Quasar’
‘Stella P And The People Mover’
‘Panopticon’
‘The Celestials’
‘Violet Rays’
‘My Love Is Winter’
‘One Diamond, One Heart’
‘Pinwheels’
