Jack White made his solo debut on Saturday Night Live over the weekend, performing two tracks from his forthcoming album ‘Blunderbuss‘.

White aired the first single ‘Love Interruption‘, as well as ‘Sixteen Saltines‘, which proved to be a heavier number more akin to his work with the White Stripes and Dead Weather.

Jack White’s appearance on Saturday Night Live came on the night actress Lindsey Lohan made her own comeback as host of the show. Lohan has already received a fair amount of criticism for her performance on the night, with Entertainment Weekly speculating as to whether she was the worst SNL host of the year, while comic Joan Rivers has been equally scathing on her Twitter account, writing: “Lindsay Lohan was so bad on SNL that the judge is sending her back to rehab, but for acting lessons.”

Jack White’s debut solo album, ‘Blunderbuss’, is due for release on April 23rd, and will be supported with the launch of a US tour earlier that month.
