Jack White will play his first solo UK gig at the London Hammersmith Apollo, the former White Stripes man has confirmed.
The show will be held on June 22nd and immediately precedes the previously announced appearances at Radio 1’s Hackney Weekend on June 23rd and 24th.
White has also added further dates to his US and European jaunt, and will now begin the tour with two shows at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, Tennessee on May 15th and 16th.
Jack White will release his maiden solo album ‘Blunderbuss‘ through his own Third Man Records label on April 23rd. He has previously described the LP as comprising tracks which he believes could only be presented under his own name:
“I’ve put off making records under my own name for a long time but these songs feel like they could only be presented under my name.”
“These songs were written from scratch, had nothing to do with anyone or anything else but my own expression, my own colours on my own canvas.”
