A new Tom Jones track, which has been produced by former White Stripe Jack White, has been premiered online today.

The veteran crooner has recorded his take on Howlin Wolf‘s Chicago blues classic ‘Evil‘, and will release the track through Jack White’s wonderful Third Man Records along with a new version of ‘Jezebel‘ on March 19th. The song can be heard via Soundcloud below. The two songs also feature Jack White’s occasional Raconteurs bandmates Patrick Keeler and Jack Lawrence.

Meanwhile, Jack White is gearing up for the release of his own solo material later this year, when debut record ‘Blunderbuss‘ is unleashed on April 23rd. “‘Blunderbuss’ is an album I couldn’t have released until now,” White has said.

“I’ve put off making records under my own name for a long time but these songs feel like they could only be presented under my name. These songs were written from scratch, had nothing to do with anyone or anything else but my own expression, my own colors on my own canvas.”
