Keane have today confirmed the details of their new album.

To be entitled ‘Strangeland‘, the album is due for release on May 7th, and has been recorded with the Radiohead and Lana Del Rey cohort Dan Grech. It is the first to feature new bass player Jesse Quin.

“‘Strangeland’ feels like an adventure that brings with it different things for different people, and like any adventure is full of uncertainty, and the potential for mishap, as well as the possibility of amazing things and glorious discoveries,” Tim Rice-Oxley has said of the LP. “I love the idea of the journey through ‘Strangeland’ being a journey of redemption.”

“In many respects, it feels like the completion of a circle,” Richard Hughes adds. “On the album you have songs that draw upon the experiences we used to share as kids, growing up in Battle. You can never really go back, of course.”

“Once in a while though, after a good day, we’ll go to the local pub and talk about everything and nothing until it’s time to go home. Whatever it is that makes us Keane – that invisible glue – is still there. And you can hear it all over ‘Strangeland’.”

‘Strangeland’ tracklist:

1. You Are Young
2. Silenced By The Night
3. Disconnected

5. Sovereign Light Cafe
6. On The Road
7. The Starting Line
