Former White Stripes leader Jack White will make his live bow as a solo artist on Saturday Night Live next month.
White will appear on the show, due to be hosted by Lindsay Lohan, on March 3rd ahead of a series of US tour dates which will kick off a week later in Chattanooga, Tennessee on March 10th. The final show of the short US trip will arrive on March 15th at Cain’s Ballroom in Oklahoma.
White also has appearances at the Hangout and Sasquatch! festivals booked for May, while a trip to the UK in June will be marked with gigs for BBC Radio 1′s Hackney Weekend.
‘Blunderbuss’, Jack White’s debut solo record, is set for release on April 23rd, and has been described by the songwriter as containing tracks which ‘could only be presented under my name’.
Last week, the video for ‘Love Interruption‘, his first solo single and featuring backing vocals from Ruby Amanfu, was given its premiere.
