The reformed Stone Roses have confirmed another headline festival appearance for next year as their comeback world tour begins to take shape.
The band have already announced a bill-topping gig at next summer’s T In The Park festival, and will now also headline the Northside Festival in Denmark, which is due to be held between June 15th-17th 2012.
After rumours of a reunion reached fever-pitch in October, Ian Brown, John Squire, Mani and Reni finally confirmed their unlikely reunion to a packed London press conference that month. During the conference, the Manchester band unveiled two huge homecoming gigs at Heaton Park, as well as their plans to record a new album.
Those Heaton Park shows sold out within minutes of going on sale and, after a third hastily arranged date also sold out, the trio of gigs became the fastest selling rock concerts in UK history according to reports.
More festival appearances are expected to be announced in due course, with the group strongly tipped to also headline the 2012 V Festival.
