The reformed Stone Roses have announced the latest high profile show of their ever-growing comeback tour, and will visit Ireland next year for an ambitious outdoor concert.

The Manchester band will perform at Dublin’s Phoenix Park on July 5th, 2012. Tickets are due to go on sale from 8am next Tuesday (December 20th), limited to six per person.

Since confirming their unlikely return last October, the Stone Roses have already seen three hometown shows in Heaton Park become reportedly the fastest selling rock gigs in UK history, and have also unveiled a spate of summer festival appearances.

Their comeback plans developed still further last week when it was confirmed they had signed two new record deals with Universal and Columbia ahead of an expected album release in 2012. Ian Brown and John Squire were quick to talk up their desire to write new material during a press gathering in London, and are likely to air the new tracks during their sold out tour dates next year.
