Radiohead are rehearsing brand new songs to take out on the road with them next year, guitarist Ed O’Brien has said.

O’Brien told XFM Radiohead have ‘four or five’ new songs currently being rehearsed, songs which are likely to form a part of their setlist during 2012 when they embark on touring in support of this year’s ‘The King Of Limbs‘.

“We’re trying to keep it creative,” O’Brien told the station. “We’ve got new songs, we’ve been rehearsing about four or five new songs this week so we’re going to try and take those on the road. It feels really good.”

Earlier this week, O’Brien appeared to confirm Radiohead are set for a UK arena tour at some point next year, but also ruled out any British festival dates in the process.

“You have to do what feels right instinctively and arenas feel appropriate this time for some bizarre reason, I don’t know why,” he said in an interview with BBC 6Music.
