Clement Marfo & The Frontline, who recently supported Florence & The Machine on tour, have said the singer demanded ‘everything to be black’ during a show in Swansea.

Speaking to TaleTela, the septet claimed one of band leader Florence Welch‘s rider stipulations was to have all the furnishings in her dressing room be the colour black, and also asked to have her room cleaned four times.

“Black straws, black tissues, black curtains – everything black. We were like ‘alright love’,” the group said. “She made the backstage team clean her dressing room four times and then she went in and said, ‘it’s not clean’.”

“The venue was in Swansea, and because all of her runners were serving us as well, they were all complaining about her to us. That’s how we find out all the gossip.”

Florence & The Machine are currently at number one on the UK Album Chart with second album ‘Ceremonials‘, though they look set to be toppled by reality show winner Susan Boyle when the new rundown is announced on Sunday (November 13th).
