Flea Reveals More Details Of Collaboration With Thom Yorke

fleaRed Hot Chili Peppers‘ bass player Flea has revealed more on his collaboration with Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke, days after Yorke confirmed he is currently working on completing the ‘Atoms For Peace’ album.

Flea told Rolling Stone the record’s genesis came about due to improvised jamming sessions between himself, Yorke and producer Nigel Godrich, but admitted he has no idea when the finished product is likely to be released.

“At the end of the tour we went into a studio for three days and just jammed – totally improvising,” he said. “Thom and Nigel have taken that stuff and done shit with it. I’ve heard little bits and pieces. I have no idea when it’s going to come out. Not real soon though.”

“I kind of feel like it’s not really my place to talk about that stuff, the mystery should be the mystery. I just have a warm place in my heart and my mind and my balls for the whole concept.”

Red Hot Chili Peppers released their new album ‘I’m With You‘ in August, while Radiohead are set to embark on touring duties for their own ‘King Of Limbs‘ album next year.
