Band Of Horses On ‘Frustrating’ Aborted Tour With Kings Of Leon

Band Of Horses have reflected on a ‘really, really frustrating’ time on the road with Kings Of Leon after being caught up in the Tennessee band’s reported internal problems which led to them pulling a US tour earlier last month.

Speaking to Apesontape.com, singer Tyler Ramsay said: “‘Exhaustion’, yeah, I think it was the third show into what was supposed to be a seven week show. It was really, really frustrating and quite maddening.”

However, Ramsay has said the unexpected time off led to the band using the opportunity to enter a studio to lay down some new demos.

“We were in Tampa, Florida and we just sat there for three days wondering what was going to happen,” he explained. “Every thirty minutes there would be some weird update about booking shows here or there. We ended up going to El Paso and recording, doing some demo stuff in a studio there.”

And now, despite Ramsay’s own plans for a solo album, he has revealed those demos have led to serious would being done on their next record. “It’s full on for the next record,” he said. “We’re really trying to get it solidified and get it done.”

Band Of Horses released the excellent ‘Infinite Arms‘ LP in May last year.
