Suede frontman Brett Anderson has confirmed the details of his latest solo album ‘Black Rainbows‘.

Due for release on September 26th, and preceded by the previously announced single ‘Brittle Heart‘, the album has been described as ‘restless, noisy and dynamic’ by Anderson, who has also outlined the record’s back-to-basics approach, saying it features ‘electric guitars, bass, drums and vocals – no flute players, no strings, no gimmicks, just passion’.

In addition to his latest solo release, Anderson also told BBC 6Music last month of his plans to work on a new Suede album following their recent successful live reunion, but has not promised the results will eventually see the light of day.

“We’re gonna try and write a new Suede album, but if the magic’s not there, no one will hear it, that’s the truth,” he said. “I don’t want us to put a record out just because people want us to, if it’s not right then it’s not right.”
