Manic Street Preachers To Release New Album This October

manicstreetpreaCHERSManic Street Preachers will mark the 21st anniversary of their debut single release with a new compilation collection entitled ‘National Treasures – The Complete Singles‘, to be issued this October.

The new album will comprise of 28 tracks taken from their back catalogue, including a selection from their most recent studio effort ‘Postcards From a Young Man‘, and will also be promoted with a brand new single.

It was 1990 when the Manics released first single ‘Motown Junk‘, on Heavenly Recordings, which followed soon after their debut EP ‘New Art Riot‘. The band subsequently became one of the most successful commercial guitar bands of recent years, enjoying their first UK top ten single two years later, and their first Number One in 1998 with ‘If You Tolerate This Then Your Children Will Be Next‘.

Like most bands, they have recently struggled to make a significant impact on the singles chart, but did trouble the Top 40 back in September 2010 with ‘(It’s Not War) Just The End Of Love‘.
