US rockers the Foo Fighters were joined by Alice Cooper and Queen drummer Roger Taylor during their first Milton Keynes Bowl gig last night (July 2nd).

The show launched a busy summer of high profile outdoor UK gigs for the band, who had considerable support on the night from Biffy Clyro, Death Cab For Cutie and Tame Impala.

Recent album ‘Wasting Light‘ was represented well during the set, while Roger Taylor joined the group for a run-through of 2006 single ‘Cold Day In The Sun‘, with other established hits such as ‘Learn To Fly‘ and ‘Generator‘ also in attendance.

For a special encore, Alice Cooper joined Dave Grohl and co for covers of his Seventies hits ‘School’s Out‘ and ‘I’m Eighteen‘, before Foo Fighters’ own perennial favourite, ‘Everlong‘, brought the evening to a close.

A second date at Milton Keynes is due to follow tonight (July 3rd).
