Bombay Bicycle Club have revealed their forthcoming third studio album will be entitled ‘A Different Kind Of Fix‘, and is to be preceded by a new single at the end of this month.

The new album is set to showcase a return to the electric-led sound of their 2009 debut ‘I Had the Blues But I Shook Them Loose‘, after the acoustic tinged follow up ‘Flaws‘ achieved significant commercial success upon its release last year.

Critics were generally split on the group’s change of direction, though the classically structured, cleanly produced songwriting which was such a feature of the record comfortably elevated the London band above the unremarkable indie circles they had previously been mixing in.

The move back to their earlier sound has also seen the band reinstate Arctic Monkeys and Kasabian cohort Jim Abbiss on production duties, along with Animal Collective‘s Ben Allen. Sessions took place in Hamburg, Atlanta and London.

First single ‘Shuffle‘ will be released to iTunes on June 23rd.
