First it was Morrissey, now Lady Gaga has been treated to some praise by another highly-opinionated Mancunian, this time in the shape of Beady Eye frontman Liam Gallagher.
With Morrissey recently declaring the popstar ‘terribly nice’, Gallagher told ShortList he’s a fan of Gaga because of her individuality and desire to stand out from the crowd.
“I f*****g like her,” he said. “Some of it’s bordering on ridiculous, but she brings it back around again because she can sing, she can dance, she’s out there taking chances and she’s not like all the other girl acts. She seems like she’s a bit f*****g mad and I like that. I like her, man.”
Gallagher is currently in the United States with Beady Eye on their first North American tour. With dates in Chicago and Toronto already under their belts, the band will perform on the popular talk show The Late Show…with David Letterman tonight (June 22nd) and perform a one hour private show available via live stream at CBS.com, before a gig at New York’s Webster Hall tomorrow.
