Arctic Monkeys have unveiled the artwork for their new album ‘Suck It and See‘, and have gone for a stripped back approach to the sleeve, simply featuring the title on a white background.

‘Suck It and See’ was recorded last winter by the Sheffield band after members Alex Turner and Jamie Cook had earlier laid down tracks during Turner’s stay in New York.

The band returned to previous producer James Ford during the Los Angeles sessions, after enlisting the considerable talents of Queens Of The Stone Age‘s Josh Homme on its predecessor ‘Humbug‘.

Last month, the first taster from the new album, ‘Brick By Brick‘, was quietly premiered, and pointed to a continuation of the harsher sound explored on ‘Humbug’. First single ‘Don’t Sit Down Cos I’ve Moved Your Chair‘ continues in a similar vein, though drummer Matt Helders has recently claimed their new tracks are ‘a bit more poppy’ than past efforts.

‘Suck It and See’ will be released on June 6th.
