Arctic Monkeys have unveiled details of two large hometown shows next June as they continue work on their fourth studio album.

The band are due to play dates at Sheffield’s Don Valley Bowl on June 10th and 11th, with frontman Alex Turner‘s Last Shadow Puppets bandmate Miles Kane providing support on both nights. Arctic Monkeys will also be joined by hotly-tipped London four piece The Vaccines on the first night, as well as Dead Sons. Anna Calvi and Mabel Love will join the Arctic Monkeys and The Vaccines on June 11th.

The Sheffield band are currently based in Los Angeles where they are working on the follow up to 2009’s ‘Humbug‘ with previous collaborator and Klaxons cohort James Ford. Alex Turner is due to release a six-track solo EP next month, featuring songs taken from the soundtrack to the new film Submarine.

Tickets for both shows will go on sale this Friday (Feb 11th) at 9am.
