Respected site efestivals is reporting heavyweight rock acts The Strokes, Primal Scream and Arctic Monkeys are the first bands to be confirmed for Spain’s Benicàssim Festival, which is due to take place between 14th-17th July next year.
Primal Scream will be presenting their seminal 1991 third studio album ‘Screamadelica‘, which is being played in it’s entirety at a series of dates as part of the celebrations marking the record’s 20th anniversary, while The Strokes and Arctic Monkeys’ status as two of Europe best loved bands secures a strong early line-up for the event.
First established in 1994, Benicassim has become one of Europe’s biggest festivals and encompasses dance, art and theatre as well as it’s marquee bookings which have included the likes of Kasabian, Kings of Leon and Oasis in the past.
Early bird 4-day tickets for the festival are priced at £125 (including camping) and are available for purchase through til Friday 25th November or when the allocation is sold out. Tickets can be purchased here.
