The early bird got the worm, as always. All 80’00 tickets to Kings of Leon much anticipated concert at Slane Castle in Ireland have been snapped up in under an hour. The 2011 gig will mark the 30 year anniversary of the event.

Boyne Valley’s Lord Henry Mountcharles proclaimed:  “Kings Of Leon rock. Slane rocks.”

Back in 2008 organisors had plenty of problems on their hands when Brit Rock giants Oasis headlined. Unhappy fans were angered at the long bus delays and never ending queues at the beer stalls and venue entrance. There were also allegations of overcrowding.

2011 however will bring significant changes to the concert venue – it’s reported that there will be  new bus turnaround facilities,  a bigger entrance for fans from Dublin, larger bar facilities , new emergency exits and a larger perimeter in general.

30 years ago Thin Lizzy were the headliners with U2 opening. Kings Of Leon will step on stage at the Co Meath venue on  Saturday May 28 next year.
