Glasvegas are to mark their return to the live scene with a series of low-key Scottish shows due to take place in January.

On announcing the new dates, the band said:  “We love playing live. We love Scotland. We wanted to discover more of our own country doing what we are passionate about. Our new songs will be heard live first in our home country and we’re very proud to be able to do that.” The group have also promised fans a full UK tour next Spring.

Glasvegas decamped to Los Angeles this year to record their new album, the follow up to their 2009 eponymous debut, during which time drummer Caroline McKay announced her departure. The new record is due for release sometime next year.

Tickets will be available from 9am (GMT) this Saturday (27th Nov).
