Kasabian, Florence & The Machine Big Winners At 2010 Q Awards

Florence & The Machine led the way at today’s annual Q Awards ceremony, picking up two prizes for Best Female and Best Track for her take on ‘You’ve Got The Love‘.

The other main prizes went to The National, who’s excellent record ‘High Violet‘ picked up the coveted Best Album award, and Kasabian, who beat the likes of Muse and Kings Of Leon to be named Best Act In The World Today.

Mumford & Sons continued their successful year by winning Best New Act, while Suede enjoyed further praise since their recent reformation by being named this year’s Q Inspiration. Elsewhere, Green Day beat Kasabian and Arcade Fire to win Best Live Act

Earlier, Take That were inducted into Q’s Hall Of Fame, with recent returnee Robbie Williams telling the assembled crowd the group are ‘very happy to be back’, while Crowded House‘s Neil Finn collected the Classic Songwriter gong.
