George Harrison’s classic 1970 solo album ‘All Things Must Pass‘ is to be re-issued via a limited edition, numbered 180-gram vinyl in it’s original 3-LP format, EMI/Capitol have announced.

The new edition will be released on November 26th exclusively through independent record stores in the US, and will feature original recordings which have been remastered at London’s Abbey Road studios. Non-US fans will be able to purchase a non-numbered box-set, while a download version of the record will be made available through georgeharrison.com.

Speaking about the landmark release, Michael Kurtz, co-founder of Record Store Day said: “George Harrison’s ‘All Things Must Pass‘ was a milestone release in 1970 and it ranks with record store owners as one of the best albums ever released. The organizers of Record Store Day could not be more thrilled to support the restored reissue 40 years later – almost to the exact day – of this majestic album.”

Released in the November of 1970, ‘All Things Must Pass‘ quickly established Harrison as a credible solo artist following the break up of The Beatles earlier in the year, confirming his move out of Lennon and McCartney’s songwriting shadow. The album’s lead single, ‘My Sweet Lord”, was released in the UK in January 1971, and became the first solo single for a Beatle to reach number one in Britain.
